Un-Fertilised Eggs V Fertilised Embryos

Egg numbers and Egg Quality decline with Age and Egg Freezing is the way that younger eggs can be preserved to be used at a later time.  We cover 2 different processes in Egg Freezing depending on whether you are wanting to Freeze Fertilised Eggs or Freeze Unfertilised Eggs.

Freezing Fertilised Eggs – This involves IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) where the Sperm of your partner or the donated sperm is introduced to the eggs after retrieval and then the Chosen Eggs that Fertilise and develop well enough will be Frozen at either 3,4,5 or 6 days after Fertilisation.

Freezing Fertilised Eggs – This involves retrieving the Eggs and freezing the Eggs without Fertilising them so there will be no IVF in this process.  You can then have the eggs thawed and fertilised with the sperm at a later date.

We go into a lot more detail about what is involved in the 2 Types below.
