We recommend completing one of our Core Programs (Abs Fab Or Pelvic Floor & Core) to ensure your Pelvic Floor and Deep Abs are strong enough to take on the exercises in Pilates as many of the exercises are working on your core and abs.   Be wary of the issues below when doing any of the abdominal exercises in Pilates.  If you see ridging and are unable to stop it happening by engaging the Pelvic Floor and Core the exercise is too difficult for you at this stage.

Be wary of any exercises or stretches that involve stretching backwards.  If you see ridging down the centre of your tummy like below and you are unable to stop by engaging your pelvic floor and core then best to avoid as again will be making any abdominal separation worse.
